Moose Knuckles indeed gives a fuck, that’s why we started Moose Knuckles Gives a Fuck. Through this platform we’re able to share our ongoing charitable projects and continue to rock with the communities we love and support; the disenfranchised, the underdogs, the weirdos brave enough to be themselves, the rebels with a cause, and the disruptors who believe change is possible when we come together for a greater good. Through our boots on the ground approach, we’ve been able to directly help our local communities, because we’ve always been salt of the earth type people.
For our first three initiatives, we partnered with Marz Lovejoy, a pioneering artist and activist in the New York Fashion world. With Marzy’s help we were able to touch and impact the lives of a single mother facing eviction with her two kids, an entire community of kids and young adults in Harlem, and an LGBTQ dance center with an open door policy to marginalized youth called “The Door”.
We partnered up with Marz Lovejoy, Ian Isiah, and Gitoo to give back to our community and help keep New York warm by giving 30+ winter coats to those in need.
For this installation of Moose Knuckles Gives a Fuck—a platform created to share ongoing chartable projects—we partnered with Marz Lovejoy, a unique grassroots marketing conceptualist and pioneering artist/activist in the fashion and creative world, and an iconic New York-based youth center, The Door.
The Door’s mission is to empower young people to reach their potential by providing comprehensive youth development services in a diverse and caring environment. This video collaboration between Marz Lovejoy, The Door, and Moose Knuckles uses movement and self-expression from The Door’s dance students to create impact.
Marz Lovejoy sits down with a family of three to talk about battling homelessness in the Bronx, New York. Danielle Staluto has been battling homelessness with her children since 2010. Marz Lovejoy raises enough funds to keep them afloat and Moose Knuckles matched.
